Anaphylaxis
Anaphylaxis is a serious and potentially fatal allergic reaction that can affect multiple organ systems, including the skin, respiratory tract, cardiovascular system, and gastrointestinal system.
Common allergens associated with anaphylaxis include foods, insect stings, and certain medications. Symptoms include itching, hives, difficulty breathing, low blood pressure, and even loss of consciousness. Prompt treatment with epinephrine (adrenaline) is critical to prevent further complications and seeking immediate medical help is essential when dealing with anaphylaxis.
